Giving thanks to your special someone

As Thanksgiving nears and we are reminded of the people in our lives who we are grateful for, take a moment to let your partner know what he or she means to you.  This type of communication will improve your relationship in general, as well as spill over into the bedroom.

During times of conflict, try to offer positive encouragement to your partner.   When your partner feels valued, he or she will be more willing to continue openly communicating.  Both of you can make positive statements about how much better it feels to be open and honest.  If he or she brings up a different subject, rather than bristling, say, “I’m glad you feel comfortable enough to talk to me about this.  Let’s see if we can make it work for the two of us.”
